A driving force in the benefits industry for more than 30 years, Simon founded The Consulting House in 1985 after noticing the large gap in expertise and service between large corporations and small- to medium-sized companies. Simon believes that every company, big or small, deserves superior service and a high return on their benefit dollars.
Simon excels in the design, implementation and management of enhanced and cost-effective benefits and Pensions programs. His business philosophy is to give his clients sound, competent advice that yields immediate and sustainable enhancements as well as cost reductions in their benefit programs.
Simon’s groundbreaking strategies have been used by leading organizations across all segments of the business world, and that have been profiled in Benefits Canada and The Globe and Mail.
Simon has also written a number of articles outlining leading-edge benefits strategies and their impact on corporations. Some articles include “Disabling premiums” (Benefits Canada), “More comments on taxable benefits” (The Globe & Mail), and “Is it time to scrap STD?”(Benefits Canada).
Over the years, he has amassed a long list of clients in both the public and private sectors in Canada, the U.S. and abroad. In addition to a B.Sc. degree from McMaster University, Simon has successfully completed many professional and employee benefits courses.
